HSC football...

Today was a major milestone for the HSC community. The HSC Tigers took on the Bridgewater Eagles today for an incredible football game. The Eagles have beaten the Tigers every year since 1998, and it always happens in the last few minutes of the game. Today the Tigers finally got the sweet smell of victory over the Eagles. The Tigers won 38-31 over a team ranked 15th in the nation, the Bridgewater Eagles. It was a phenomenal game where each player stepped up to the challenge this game always presents and came away with a victory. Here are a few pictures from the day.
Here Andy is praying with all his student athletic trainers before the game (a tradition he has for every game).
Here's a shot of the new stadium...it was packed and there were even more people sitting on the hills and standing in the street. It was a big game!

And a quick celebratory picture before an evening of craziness! Congratulations HSC on an amazing win!

When the Mouse is away, the cat will play...

There must be something about this weekend and putting together a baby nursery for the Alley and McPherson families! Will and Jess fixed up little baby Owen's room while Andy and I finally found crib bedding that we liked for our little girl's room. We've been searching and searching for something simple and not too bright, which seems to be an impossible task now-a-days. So while I was in Richmond this weekend, mom and I went around to a few stores to just look at bedding and finish up my baby registry. We fell in love with this bedding and immediately bought it, all the while hoping that Andy would like it as well:) Anyway, Andy arrived home early early this morning from PA, where he had a football game, and we spent our time before church putting together the crib and the bedding. So now we've at least got the bed ready if little baby McPherson decides to come early (Lord help us if she does!!). Here's a picture of the bedding we chose...So, apparently we weren't the only ones who were happy that we got the bed together. Baby McPherson will not be the first one to sleep in her own crib..."someone" had to test it out...
Not only did she test out the crib, she did a road test on our friend's baby carrier...
What a cat...ugh! :)

Back to School

The summer is over. Football season is in full swing. The tigers are 1-1. This week I travel to Pennsylvania for our first away game of the year.

Catherine's school has started. She is busy with meetings, counseling, and going into the class rooms while being 30 weeks pregnant. She has the right to be tired by the end of the day. Catherine is claiming that she is "large and in charge." We go back to the doctor for a regular check up on 13th. Alley is moving around all the time. When we are sitting on the couch, you can see Catherine's belly move in waves. We think Alley is going to be an active little girl. We will see in a few months. Both of us are excited. Continue to pray for us in our journey.

So Cute!
