Halloween

We started off the morning with a little Halloween fun breakfast. Since I'm not a huge fan or the "holiday", we typically don't do much but dress up and hand out candy. I decided we could at least have a little fun with their food:) So, for breakfast we had banana ghost, creepy donuts and eggs. For dinner (which I didn't take a picture of), we had mummy hot dogs and veggies.

This year I made the girls princess dresses (skirts) to go along with their favorite disney princess. Alley was Cinderella, Kendall was Sleeping Beauty and MC was Sofia. They loved being princesses for the day:)

for ballet class today, they were allowed to wear their costumes...these girls are so precious!
Happy Fall!!!!

Pumpkins!

We love fall in the McPherson household! Not only doe sit mean that college football is in full swing, but it also means pumpkin EVERYTHING! Pumpkin in soup, pumpkin in desserts, pumpkin smells around the house and pumpkin decorations:) Since Andy's schedule does not have a lot of free time in it, we weren't able to go to the big pumpkin patch to look for pumpkins and do all the fun fall festivities. Luck for us though, the local Montessori school had pumpkins set up on their lawn, to mimic a pumpkin patch, for sale. So, we went down on Saturday (after my 12 mile run!!) and picked out pumpkins.

MC was more interested in the gourdes;)

MC finally found a pumpkin she liked, but there was no way she was going to let go of her gourde!

Kendall found 2 pumpkins...we convinced her to get a bigger one too;)

searching for the "perfect" pumpkin

this is what I did the whole time...hold up a pumpkin for the girls and say, "how about this one?"..."um, nope"...

aaaaand, Kendall found one...

Alley carefully chose "the perfect" pumpkin for her

aaaaaand, we are definitely rednecks...our car is in the background;)

Since I'm not really into carving, we always paint our pumpkins. the girls love this and I love that it doesn't make a huge mess:)

Fall Pictures

A few weeks ago we had some family pictures taken. I am horrible at scheduling family pictures. I desperately want pictures of my family all over the house, but I'm too cheap to pay someone to take them when I know my kids have a phobia of doing whatever mom wants them to do. One child will hold her smile so long she looks like she's grimacing. Another will not stand still or look in the direction you want her to and then another, will get this crazy face and evil eyes...(sigh)...

I decided that no matter what, I need to make sure we get pictures of the family once a year. So, it was that time again:) One of the Doctors Andy works with lives on a beautiful lake outside of Clemson and he offered his yard for the pictures. Awesome:) We decided the kids "might" act better first thing in the morning...so we gave it a shot...HA! We actually did get some pretty good shots despite my 3 girls trying their hardest to ruin them. After looking at them, I realize I still have a long way to go on figuring out clothing for pictures...ugh...

Sweet sisters looking like they didn't just have a fight;) Don't let those sweet faces fool you!

The girls checking out the water...I was praying MC didn't push them all in. I wouldn't put it past her

Special K/Sassy pants showing us her grin

crazy MC. Always up for a laugh:)

for some reason I just love this picture...and I am not a fan of feet at all...

the girls checking out the goldfish...I was praying they wouldn't fall in!

I think we were almost done with the whole picture thing...they had had enough.

let's try for one last family photo...hmmm, yup, we are done;)

One of my favorite shots! I'm going to ruin this picture for yall...MC is actually screaming and crying because she didn't want any part of someone telling her what to do. And thats my life;)

Thank you to Jenna for taking this wonderful shots of our family! Yeah for memories;)
