Catch up

I have been lazy...I will admit it. I have taken around a month off of EVERYTHING. I put my Etsy business on vacation, I stopped sewing/embroidering items, I stopped taking pictures and managing my blog and I started cooking like crazy, playing with the girls and working in our yard. I guess you could say it wasn't really a "vacation", but it was needed. So, with that, I'm playing some extreme catch up. My apologies for the silence:)

During this month "vacation", Mimi came to visit. Yeah! The girls absolutely love when Mimi comes to town (and I do too!). These next few pictures show what the girls love most about Mimi's visit...Reading time! Whenever we skype or talk to them on the phone, or have them over for a visit, the FIRST thing they ask is "will you read me a story?". They LOVE books and they know that Mimi does too:) And she is such a great story teller!

Mimi had literally just.walked.in.the.door when she was attacked by book requests:)

and we are still in the same position later that evening...just kidding, we did play outside, cook and do other things during the day;)

The "bigs" at breakfast

Happy Bunny! MC was a little weirded-out by the glasses initially

then she go tthe hang of it...and we are still wearing them to this day...

So silly...I still remember the first time Alley wore these glasses

This is Alley back when she was a little over a year...so cute:)

nap time is officially over...

We also modeled our new orange and purple Clemson outfits. I am learning that you HAVE to have lots of orange in your closet when your paycheck comes from Clemson;) So if anyone finds some cute clothes that are orange, let me know!;)

Then MC takes over the spotlight...she's a mess

aaaaaaand, we're done...

After Mimi left to go back home, we took a big trip to the ACC Basketball tournament. I didn't take too many pictures because, a) it was freezing there so we never went outside, b) did I say it was cold?!?!, c) my camera battery died...in the words of Kendall, "whomp, whomp".

We did manage to visit with some wonderful friends of ours and there son (who didn't make it in ANY picture before my camera died...ugh!). Here we are visiting the Greensboro Children's Museum.

Kendall was immediately drawn to the doctors office play room

I think we made it over to the dentist chair...wish she was this good when she went to see a real dentist!

Alley telling her that the drill wont hurt...yeah right;)

let me check you're throat..

We had a great visit and it was so wonderful to get out of town for a few days! I hope next time I remember my camera charger...;)

This past Friday, our local Chick-fi-la hosted a daddy-daughter date night. Andy "asked" the girls out on a date and they got to dress up. It was a huge ordeal to convince Kendall NOT to wear her Rapunzel dress that has seen better days (that dress is almost in pieces!). Finally we got her in a "dressy" dress and all was well...whew! Here are a few pictures before they left.

little miss wanted to get in on the action (you can see the top of her head in the corner)
The girls had a fabulous time dancing, and eating out with just daddy. Chick-fi-la did an awesome job! they presented the girls with flowers, they had their pictures taken, they had live music, table cloths and a server. What a fun way for the girls to experience what a real date should be like:)

MC and I had fun on our own. We visited a local bakery and ended up being the only ones in the cafe since CU was out on spring break. It was so much fun to spend time alone with my youngest child. Why did I ever think having one child was so hard??!?!?

Next up, Easter! I have charged my camera and I pray I don't leave it behind;) Until then...
