Running freaks

Recently Alley has become interested in running. I'd like to think it's because she sees me go out on runs or running on our treadmill at home, but who knows! I am just grateful for her excitement about something active! The girls and I have gone out a few times to run around fields and tracks but today we got to run with daddy (which obviously makes everything a 100x better!). We even got to use the indoor track at Clemson for our shenanigans:)

The girls getting ready for their half mile (continuous) run.

MC and Kendall plugging along...they did really great for having "shorter" legs and not being AS excited as a certain long-legged brown-eyed girl;)

Alley running with daddy...non-stop and at a very fast pace! I was so proud!

my running partner...the word "running" here is used VERY loosely ;)

it got even more exciting when we decided to run sprints! We even got to set up the blocks

taking off!

mommy then got in on the fun...yeah buddy!

I might have been slightly too competitive here...naw! It's good for them to be pushed once in a while;)

Alley doing her cool down of two laps...I wouldn't really call it a "cool down" since she was trucking it!

cruising along like it's nothing

aaaaaaaand, here we come...

encouraging Kendall not to give up and running with a cling-on was slightly difficult and left me slightly winded...

and there she blows:)

aaaaand, here we come!

after our cool down, MC decided she was the winner! GO McPHERSON CLAN!!!

It was so much fun that I can't wait until we do this again!!! Alley said she can't wait until she can start running with me...oh girl, I can't wait either!!:)

2014 McAlley Olympics

This is what happens when you've got family in town and yall get really bored while watching the Olympics. Obviously we Alley's (former and current) believe we can do a MUCH better job at these sports than the "athletes"...I mean come on...;) Here we are showing or incredible form, talent and stamina...we are gold medal material yall!!

Andy and Will showing their expertise on speed skating

Andy doing an excellent clinic on ski jumping

we are incredible 4 man bobsledding team...THE.BEST.

Me rocking the skeleton and my awesome coach cheering me on;)

Now, Will and I are fantastic curling team. In fact, we are so awesome that we only need the two of us. Yes, folks, thats right, we are THAT good.

Look at that form! Yup, definitely screams gold medal

the two man luge...speaks for itself...creepy;)

All in all, we had a wonderful and medal packed time at the Olympics this year...maybe we will get some commercial contracts out of our awesomeness....;) Happy boredom night to everyone!

Snowpocalypse

The snow has been falling a lot this winter. I didn't think it could get any worse (in South Carolina) than it did last winter...oh, but it has! Not only have we had TWO snow falls, but we've had EXTREMELY cold temps. I'm talking in the single and double digits. This is South Carolina yall!!
WE.DON'T.DO.COLD!
With that being said, we have survived (so far...I make no promises!). I am so ready for the warm weather to arrive. Supposedly, we are going to have temps in the 70s next week...but I'm not holding my breathe! I will pray though;)

Okay, okay...the girls celebrated the snow fall with some romps out in the cold, enjoying every minute of it. I stood at the door, smiling and pretending this was THE.best.thing.ever...I have confessed my sin nightly, but have not been able to conquer it;) I refuse to remember my college days in Wisconsin where I played soccer IN THE SNOW, in shorts and a t-shirt as well as slept under an open window through the winter...who was that girl???!!! I have grown up and become wise. Foolish child;)

Cue, daddy to the rescue! That man dislikes cold weather more than me, but he is an AMAZING daddy! He played with the girls outside in the freezing cold and they loved it. Here are some fun pictures of the most recent snow fall. I will pretend I was out there and took all these photos....(cough, cough...thanks Andy).

Twins, having the time of their lives

Who is SC had a sled?! We got something better...a rubber made tub...boom

You know your dad is an ATC when...
yup, thats a Gatorade cooler...

Just the beginning...

Kendall enjoying the cold and snow...at least for a few minutes;)

apparently I did help MC fast enough...she decided I wasn't worth the wait and NEEDED to get her clothes on immediately...resourceful little one:)

With all that said, I am thankful that the girls were able to experience some snow at our house. Now, it can leave and take the cold with it!!
