Kiawah 2014 (pt. 1)

Oh how sad it is when you have to end a wonderful vacation. It's always hard to leave Kiawah and I never feel as though we had enough time to do everything we wanted to do (more beach time, more chill time and more eating good food time(: ). This year was the first year we actually rented a house. No more cramming everyone into a small condo…hello wide open spaces! IT was a wonderful house that was a bit closer to the beach and, it had a pool we could use! This year we also had one other family joining us…Team Alley. They finally made it back to our annual Kiawah beach trip. Hence the need for a bigger place:) We had a blast playing at the beach, playing in the pool, lounging around, reading…ok, I will let the pictures do the talking:)

mimi doing what she does so well…reading to the girls. Can you tell they love it?!

the kiddos LOVED going out deep deep in the ocean…of course, it was even better when you got held;)

MC digging her way to China…or maybe Princess Elsa's castle?!?!?

Kim and I holding down the beach chairs…I mean, come on, someone has to do the hard jobs here;)

Will and Jess have been going to cross-fit and wanted to get a picture of them doing hand stands on the beach…so naturally, Andy and I joined in:) I haven't done these since grade school, but it didn't take me long to get er done;) Andy even walked on his hands…woo-woot!

then check out little Miss Alley?!! Whaaaat?? she was awesome!

don't look directly at them or they will see…they are actually sharing!!!! sharing a hole, but whatever, they are sharing!:) Oh there is hope out there….

yes, this is what we look like at the beach…wild times y'all, wild times...

more entertainment…the kids held races…um, MC you totally missed the start…slightly late;)

ok, MC is now getting serious. Check out her stance…!!! I die...

2nd set of cousin twins…no Owen, they aren't really twins...

papa enjoying ALL the grandkids at once:) Oh how they love him!

Andy spent most of his pool time throwing all the kids (and even me, but you won't catch me sharing a picture of that!!!). I will say, they all LOVED it!

sweet K with her twin Uncle

we also spent a lot of our time playing games (card games, board games, imaginary games). This chutes and ladders game was interesting…I'm leaving it at that...

All the grandkids

Mimi reading to all the grandkids…so sweet

Mimi, Papa and the kids…what love!
