Apple Picking

Two weekends ago, the family took a wonderful trip to the Apple orchard in the mountains of NC. What a beautiful place it was! We loved driving through the mountains in the mist and occasional rain. We were told that it's a really popular "self-pick" orchard and to go right when its open. So we made the 80minute drive early in the morning to get there as soon as it opened. We lucked out! Another huge attraction to this particular orchard is the homemade apple donuts....to.die.for!! Oh my word. They were a-mazing! We were able to enjoy apple picking (Alley counted 104 apples!), playground fun and some delicious donuts all before the rain came pouring down. It was a success! Now we are up to our eyeballs in apples!;)

oh, the joys of eating a hot and ready donut...it's healthy right?;) it's got fresh apples in it...;)

We decided we are going to have to revisit this orchard every fall! What a great place to go...and an added bonus...DONUTS! ;)
Happy Fall Y'all!
